Another visit to the former airport Berlin Tempelhof. The streets, the pavements, the landstrips were slippery. The sky was grey, the wind freezing cold and soon it started to snow, turning into rain in the early afternoon. Time to go home!

Berlin Tempelhof Urban Gardening

The old airport of Berlin Tempelhof is nowadays free for the public. The huge field is used by Berlin people to enjoy their free time. On the field there can be found some area for urban gardening. Tempelhof field feels like an ocean with its endless wideness in the middle of the German capital

Pictures from our September 2007 trip to Berlin.

Berlin Tempelhof is by now closed. We went on this trip to allow us to have flown into Berlin via Tempelhof at least once. It’s a wonderful airport, located right next to the city.

To see the planes descend right over the top of the residential buildings is great. The landing lights are actually mounted right on top of a roof.

The massiveness of the complex is very impressive.
